Emily Hines-Gerry

Emily Hines-Gerry is a multi-time US national ballroom champion. Born and raised in Virginia, Emily has been dancing since her Mom put her in a baby ballet class at the age of three. After studying many years of ballet, jazz, tap, and modern, Emily got the itch to try ballroom, and fell in love.

 

Along with her partner Andrew Sim, Emily has been named National Collegiate Champion, National Latin Champion, National Ballroom Champion, and has been a finalist in many major competitions in the US. Emily has had the opportunity to study under many greats in the industry including Shirley Ballas, Daniella Karagach, and Pasha Pashkov. 

 

Emily attended the University of Delaware, and graduated with her BA in English and Spanish in 2019. During her time at the University, she coached the ballroom team and was the president of the ballroom club. She took her team around the collegiate circuit where many of her students placed in the final rounds. 

 

Emily loves to bring the fun with the focus to her teaching, and enjoys watching her students learn and grow!
